5 ways to boost your History Station marks in 5 minutes!

As the Primary FRCA OSCE/SOE kicks off TOMORROW we’re sharing our next blog post EARLY to help you all maximise your chances of passing!

Our history and communication workshops have been so well received that we thought we’d share some of our golden nuggets with you!

Sometimes even the easiest seeming stations can throw some curve balls at you, so here’s 5 ways in which you can boost the marks in your history station in 5 minutes!

1.     Remember YOUR structure and STICK TO IT

Here’s mine (a broad overview). This was to make sure I was hitting all the different categories of marks EARLY on in the station as much as I could.
For me, although HPC is important, and asked about it a little later to avoid going down a hole and not having time for everything else...

2.     Refresh yourself on the history categories which can be asked.

Have some questions in mind for each of the following “common” system specifics

3.     Be prepared for curve balls! Here’s some system specifics for epilepsy and renal histories which could quite easily also come up too!

4.     Keep a timer nearby! Remember there’s ALWAYS marks for closing!

5.     If one station goes badly, MOVE ON!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF OUR CANDIDATES!

Remember to like, comment, and share with others who might also find this useful!
